About The Position

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Safety, the Facilities Manager will oversee all areas of facilities operations across the organization. Areas of oversight include maintenance, cleaning, fleet management, and capital project management. The position also includes responsibility for budget management and procurement, and management of facilities-related vendor agreements.

Requirements

  • A Bachelors or Associates degree, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities management.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets and capital projects.
  • Experience with deferred maintenance planning.
  • Experience working with contractors (i.e. heating/cooling, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, carpentry, masonry, etc.).
  • Excel at operating in a fast paced, community environment.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Able to work independently and efficiently to achieve department deadlines and goals.
  • Some duties may require the operation of heavy equipment and the responsibility of routine care and maintenance of moderately expensive tools and/or equipment.
  • A valid driver's license with clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance and cleaning staff.
  • Plan, direct and oversee the maintenance and alteration of equipment, buildings, and facilities of the BGCP by performing duties personally or through maintenance staff.
  • Keep facilities properly operating through routine maintenance or repairs, including heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Ensure building, grounds, and property are consistently clean and maintained to organizational standards by operations staff.
  • Implement a thorough cleaning schedule and plan to ensure daily upkeep of clubhouses, including, but not limited to, parking lots, classrooms, cafeteria, front lobby and entryways, gyms, playgrounds, storage areas, utility closets, and shared spaces.
  • Request supplies and equipment needed for operations with the approval of the Senior Director of Safety & Facilities.
  • Conduct and direct annual major maintenance projects and report any damages or necessary major repairs to the building and equipment to the Senior Director of Safety & Facilities.
  • Support the Senior Director of Safety & Facilities with management of lease and short-term rental agreements to address any associated maintenance, cleaning needs, or capital improvement needs.
  • Assist staff members in properly maintaining their departments.
  • Assist in preparation for special events and fundraisers, when needed.
  • Coordinate organizational storage units.
  • Support the Senior Director of Safety & Facilities with planning and managing annual operational/building related budget. Assist the Senior Director of Safety & Facilities with developing long-range forecasts for deferred maintenance needs with projected budget planning.
  • Communicate any upcoming projects, schedule changes, or maintenance work with applicable Club and administrative staff in a timely manner.
  • Support the Senior Director of Safety & Facilities with a fleet management plan to ensure routine maintenance and cleanliness of all organizational vehicles and equipment.
  • Support the organization safety inspection plan including reviewing and participating in regular inspections for each facility.
  • Support the Senior Director of Safety & Facilities with filing of required documentation and records; management and reporting on grant requirements, reimbursement of various subsidies associated with facilities.
  • Support the Senior Director of Safety & Facilities in ensuring facilities are operating in compliance and have current certifications necessary for operation by helping to facilitate all external inspections and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with BGCA standards of operations and compliance with all organizational policies and procedures; proactively maintain awareness of policies; implement and monitor all updates as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations relative to state and federal requirements for safety, sanitation, and security.
  • Handle other duties and responsibilities as directed or needed by the Senior Director of Safety & Facilities.
