About The Position

RTX Corporation is seeking a Facilities Management Site Leader (Associate Director, Facilities) to join their RTX Enterprise Services team. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day facilities needs for the East Hartford campus, which includes both Pratt & Whitney and the RTX Technology Research Center. The leader will guide the facilities workforce in adopting the oneRTX facilities management 5-year roadmap to enhance the global organization's potential and capacity. The position is based out of the Pratt & Whitney office and focuses on an aligned campus approach for services and best practices in facilities management. The Pratt & Whitney campus spans 4.8 million square feet across 399 acres with 138 facilities employees and an $115M operating budget. The RTX Technology Research Center campus covers 0.5 million square feet across 50 acres with 11 facilities employees and a $10M operating budget.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12+ years’ leadership experience in Facilities Management at a large manufacturing facility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations or Business Administration or related discipline, or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.
  • 10+ years’ experience with an Integrated Facilities Management “IFM” contract and partner.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues and gain stakeholder alignment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a department that includes multiple teams led by managers and/or supervisors in Facilities.
  • Oversee organization-wide security programs to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop critical strategic operational goals for planning, organizing, and scheduling Facilities activities such as equipment reconfiguration and installation costs.
  • Plan, design, and execute activities directly related to the physical creation of RTX products and the functional operation of RTX facilities.
  • Plan, design, and reconfigure equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures to ensure optimal utilization of the organization’s facilities.
  • Assess and evaluate the physical space requirements of the organization and recommend plans to meet needs.
  • Gather and review data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion dates, and construction feasibility.
  • Review and estimate design costs, including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
  • Ensure proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance.
  • Conduct machine inventories and arrange disposal of obsolete or no-longer-required equipment.
  • Manage the facilities contractor management process.
  • Own the execution of long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) and operational direction, typically for an entire region, country, product, or business of considerable size and scope.
  • Own the establishment and execution of short- to medium-term operational plans (e.g., less than 1 year to 1-2 years) for the organization.
