About The Position

A facility in Trenton, New Jersey, is seeking a full-time, permanent Facilities Management Director to join their team. The Facilities Management Director will ensure the hospital, satellite clinics, and building systems meet Joint Commission and all applicable regulatory requirements. They will lead environment of care and safety meetings while overseeing compliance and preventive/corrective maintenance programs. The role involves maintaining a safe, efficient, and inclusive work environment that aligns with industry standards and manufacturer recommendations. The Director will oversee facility operations and building systems to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient performance across all locations. Additionally, the Facilities Management Director will collaborate with staff, leadership, and vendors to address facility needs, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years of healthcare maintenance or construction experience
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience overseeing facility equipment and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of chiller systems, boilers, hydraulic systems, building controls, electrical systems, air handlers, and TJC, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be available to work varying shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays as needed

Nice To Haves

  • CHFM certification is preferred
  • healthcare engineering association membership preferred
