About The Position

The Facility Maintenance Team handles all sanitation for the back of house areas in the resort as well as any minor facility repairs within the park. This role is at LEGOLAND New York Resort, part of the Merlin Entertainments family. The resort includes a Theme Park, Hotels, and Mini-Land. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to effectively follow directions, observe, and remember details.
Ability to maintain a friendly, polite, service-oriented demeanor.
Effective decision-making skills.
Must speak and read Basic English language.
Ability to understand and follow directions.
Willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends to support park operations.
Heavy Lifting over 50 lbs. is required.
Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
Ability to work outdoors in any weather condition.
Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and long distances.
Flexible Availability around park hours (peak and nonpeak times).
Ability to work nights/weekends/holidays through agreed upon employment.

Nice To Haves

Ability to drive a pickup truck with trailer and have knowledge of operating an automatic and manual transmission.
Knowledge of small engine equipment is preferred: Power washers, Leaf blowers, Street Sweepers, Trash compactors and trash receptacle tippers.
Basic small tool knowledge.

Responsibilities

Emptying trash cans along the designated back of house route.
Moving trash receptacles from designated back of house stops to inside the waste transfer station.
Performing minor repairs and upkeep of all buildings.
Assisting Utility Technicians with specialized repairs and maintenance.
Operating leaf blowers and power washers to assist with the overall cleanliness of the resort.
Notifying the leadership team of any equipment or facility problems for corrective action.
Performing related work on projects as deemed necessary or required.
Responding to any other various duties as directed by your manager.
