Facilities Maintenance Technician (M-F 7AM-3PM)
About The Position
The hours of this position are M-F 7AM to 3PM! This role ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times. The technician will assist in developing and prioritizing work orders, complete work order requests, and support workplace organization and production efficiency programs. They will also coach and train operators in daily preventative maintenance checks, support the preventative maintenance process, and contribute to line commissioning after maintenance/process events. Additionally, the technician will assist with other plant projects as needed, operate in a manner that provides value to the team, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Proven experience in working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
- Strong background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Strong decision making, analytical skills
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
- Strong mathematical skills
- Success in planning, executing and managing projects
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences
- Must be self-directed and motivated
- Able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Stick and wire welding experience required
- Forklift experience required
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus
- Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a plus
- Advanced education and/or related-certification(s), a plus
- Structural welding certification, a plus
Responsibilities
- Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
- Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.
- Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
- Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
- Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
- Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
- Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
- Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
- Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
- Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management
