About The Position

American Repair Maintenance (ARM) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their service delivery team. This role reports to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for delivering the highest standard of commercial maintenance and customer service to clients. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-starter with commercial maintenance experience who enjoys travel, variety, and autonomy. This position offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a supportive and growing company.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, flooring, masonry, EIFS, welding, and advanced structural repairs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational certification(s).
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings.
  • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Ability to provide own reliable transportation with capacity to transport tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to operate tools capable of producing up to 200 pounds of torque.
  • Ability to perform work while bending, stooping, standing, sitting, and lying down.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, flooring, masonry, EIFS, welding, and advanced structural repairs.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings.
  • Complete service tickets in a designated territory in a cost-conscious, high-quality, and timely manner.
  • Maintain clear lines of professional communication with supervisors and office staff regarding work progress and issues.
  • Be flexible and cooperative with fellow employees and customers, displaying a high level of professionalism.
  • Follow all policies and procedures to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
  • Drive up to 500-2000 miles per week to client sites with paid mileage reimbursement.
  • Adapt to a flexible schedule, including on-call, overnight, and weekend availability; some assignments may require short overnight travel.
  • Provide and maintain reliable transportation capable of transporting tools and equipment.
  • Be comfortable and proficient with technology, including industry-specific software, mobile applications, and digital tools for work orders and documentation.
  • Lift up to 75 lbs. and operate tools capable of producing up to 200 pounds of torque.
  • Perform work while bending, stooping, standing, sitting, and lying down.
