About The Position

American Repair Maintenance (ARM) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their service delivery team. This role reports to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for delivering the highest standard of commercial maintenance and customer service to clients. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-starter with commercial maintenance experience who enjoys travel, variety, and autonomy. Requirements

  • 7+ years of commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, flooring, masonry, EIFS, welding, and advanced structural repairs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational certification(s).
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings.
  • Ability to provide own reliable transportation to transport tools and equipment such as a 16 ft. ladder, sheet rock, sewer machine.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Hand tools and toolbox suitable for the job.
  • Comfortable and proficient with technology, including industry-specific software, mobile applications, and digital tools.
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to operate appropriate tools capable of producing up to 200 pounds of torque.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, flooring, masonry, EIFS, welding, and advanced structural repairs.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings to deliver exceptional service with minimal supervision.
  • Complete service tickets in a designated territory in a cost-conscious, high-quality, and timely manner.
  • Maintain clear lines of professional communication with lead technicians, supervisors, managers, and office staff regarding open issues and work progress, including thorough documentation.
  • Be flexible and cooperative with fellow employees and customers, displaying a high level of professionalism.
  • Follow all policies and procedures to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
  • Drive up to 500-2000 miles per week to client sites (paid mileage reimbursement).
  • Be flexible and adaptable with scheduling, including on-call, overnight, and weekend availability; some assignments may require short overnight travel (1-4 nights).
  • Provide own reliable transportation capable of transporting tools and equipment.
  • Be comfortable and proficient with technology, including industry-specific software, mobile applications, and digital tools for work orders, communication, and documentation.
  • Lift equipment weighing up to 75 pounds and operate tools capable of producing up to 200 pounds of torque.
