About The Position

Performs a wide range of maintenance duties to ensure the safe, efficient operation of facility buildings and equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting facilities to identify issues, assessing repair needs, and developing appropriate maintenance plans. Responds to emergency maintenance situations with timely assessments and corrective actions. Completes assigned work orders with professionalism and attention to detail, performing a wide range of general maintenance tasks across building systems, including repairs, preventive maintenance, inspections, installations, troubleshooting, and overall upkeep as needed to support safe, efficient facility operations. Maintains accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities using designated work order system. Adheres to all safety and risk management policies, operates tools and equipment safely, and participates in required training programs to maintain and improve job knowledge and compliance. Supports facility improvement efforts by completing a variety of projects related to space utilization, renovations, and overall appearance. Responsibilities include painting, minor construction and remodeling, assembling or modifying workspaces, moving and installing furniture and equipment, and assisting with reconfiguring areas to meet operational needs. Contributes to maintaining clean, functional, and visually appealing environments by enhancing and “beautifying” spaces while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational standards and project goals. Configure meeting rooms set up specific to various GLBHC locations and associated meeting rooms. Work as a team member with other key staff in the set-up, configuration, specific needs, and other support as needed. Responsible for the care and maintenance of grounds and facilities across multiple GLBHC properties. Performs lawn and landscape maintenance using commercial equipment, including mowing, trimming, edging, weed control, and flower bed upkeep, as well as seasonal tasks such as spring and fall cleanups and leaf removal. Develops and manages schedules for lawn care and snow removal across 30+ locations. Operates company vehicles and equipment for winter services, including plowing, salting, and manual snow removal, and works outdoors in varying weather conditions. May also assist in evaluating repair needs and contributing to budget planning for facility maintenance and improvements. Maintains grounds and landscaping equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation and longevity. Conducts basic inspections to identify wear, damage, or mechanical issues, and coordinates repairs or replacements as needed. Ensures all equipment is properly stored, maintained according to manufacturer guidelines, and ready for use to support efficient grounds maintenance operations. Safely operate and pull an enclosed trailer to transport equipment and materials between sites as needed. Responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of dental and related medical equipment across all facilities, including mobile dental units, to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Serves as a technician for dental equipment care, performing routine and preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, assigned work orders, and safety standards. Duties include servicing dental chairs, delivery systems, suction units, sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and Statim units, and other associated technologies, while ensuring all equipment meets required performance and compliance standards. The technician also schedules and completes preventive maintenance, addresses facility-related repair needs as assigned, and coordinates with internal staff and external vendors for specialized support, when necessary, all while strictly following established safety policies, procedures, and training requirements. Works in close collaboration with the Safety Team to ensure all facilities are maintained in a safe, compliant, and hazard-free condition. Conducts routine inspections, identifies potential safety risks, and takes prompt corrective action to address issues related to building systems, equipment, and overall facility conditions. Supports the implementation of safety programs, policies, and regulatory requirements, including infection control and environmental standards where applicable. Assists in maintaining a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors by proactively addressing hazards, participating in safety initiatives, and ensuring all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with established safety guidelines and best practices. Purchase materials and goods required to complete assigned work order and facility requisitions in accordance with established procurement guidelines, exercising appropriate cost and value discretion. Ensures all purchases are properly documented and accurately enter data into our finance software to maintain compliance, accountability, and timely recordkeeping. Operate assigned company vehicles, to include mobile dental and medical vehicles, in the process of completing assigned work tasks using appropriate safety and compliance with company rules and State laws. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Chauffeur’s Driver’s License required.
Must maintain a “cleared” status with the MVR to meet GLBHC’s standards for driving company vehicles.
Two (2) years’ experience in building maintenance, facilities, skilled trades and/or equivalent.
Strong problem-solving skills.

Must be able to sit, stand, and or walk for an entire workday.
