About The Position

American Repair Maintenance (ARM) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their service delivery team. This role involves delivering the highest standard of commercial maintenance and customer service to clients. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-starter who enjoys travel, variety, and autonomy, and wants to be part of a supportive, growing company. The technician will be responsible for completing service tickets in a designated territory in a cost-conscious, high-quality, and timely manner, maintaining clear communication with supervisors and office staff, and adhering to all policies and procedures for safe working conditions. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and comfort with technology for work order completion and documentation. Travel is a significant component, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Requirements

7+ years of commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, flooring, masonry, EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems), welding, and advanced structural repairs.
High school diploma or equivalent vocational certification(s).
Proven mechanical aptitude.
Proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings.
Ability to provide own reliable transportation capacity to transport tools and equipment such as 16 ft. ladder, sheet rock, sewer machine.
Valid driver’s license.
Possession of hand tools and a toolbox suitable for the job.
Comfortable and proficient with technology, including the use of industry-specific software, mobile applications, and digital tools.
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs., apply up to 200 pounds of torque, and perform work while bending, stooping, standing, sitting, and lying down.

Act as the 'eyes and ears' in the field, completing service tickets in a designated territory cost-consciously, with high quality, and in a timely manner.
Maintain clear lines of professional communication with lead technicians, supervisors, managers, and office staff regarding open issues and work progress, including thorough documentation.
Be flexible and cooperative with fellow employees and customers, displaying a high level of professionalism.
Follow all policies and procedures to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
Travel up to 500-2000 miles per week to client sites with paid mileage reimbursement.
Meet the demands of a flexible and adaptable schedule, including on-call, overnight, and weekend availability; some assignments may require short overnight travel (1–4 nights).
Provide reliable transportation for tools and equipment.
