About The Position

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will support the safe and efficient operation of the site by performing day-to-day maintenance and equipment upkeep. This role is responsible for troubleshooting issues, minimizing downtime, and partnering with vendors and contractors to complete repairs. You will work in a production environment requiring hands-on electrical, mechanical, and basic network troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of facilities maintenance or facilities engineering experience
  • Experience performing general maintenance and troubleshooting in a facility or production environment
  • Experience using electrical testing methods to measure voltage and current for troubleshooting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with 460/220/120 VAC and 24V DC circuits, motor controls, and power distribution systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC systems, including reading ladder logic and managing PLC programs
  • Experience working with control devices such as photoeyes, solenoid valves, limit switches, and safety switches
  • Mechanical experience identifying worn or damaged parts and performing repairs and replacements
  • Experience working with pneumatic systems, including cylinders and solenoid valves
  • Experience supporting ethernet, cabling, I/O devices, and serial communication (RS232/RS422)
  • Printer maintenance experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance, troubleshooting, and operations support on facility and site equipment
  • Execute electrical maintenance work, including routine repairs, small installations, and light construction
  • Safely measure voltage and current to diagnose and resolve electrical issues
  • Perform mechanical maintenance, including aligning bearings, shafts, and drives, and adjusting belt and chain tension
  • Support and follow preventive maintenance schedules based on equipment needs
  • Troubleshoot equipment-related computer and network issues, including ethernet connectivity, cabling, and I/O devices
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to complete facility and equipment repairs
