About The Position

Performs building maintenance and repairs and executes facility improvement projects. Supports the overall sustainment of the industrial facility and grounds through preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. This role requires the ability to self-direct and drive projects to completion with support from leadership. The technician will maintain the building, performing painting, drywall, trim, door, and plumbing repairs, as well as installing hardware in manufacturing and office environments. They will manage materials and timelines for improvement projects, communicate with production leaders to coordinate downtime, and respond to emergent repair requests. This role also contributes to an efficient manufacturing facility by performing cleaning duties such as sweeping and trash removal. Additionally, the technician will perform major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment and assist in developing project plans. Environmental responsibility is a key aspect, including proper disposal of waste like recyclables, standard waste, and hazardous waste. Any other tasks required to fulfill Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers may also be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to perform physical functions equivalent to Category B (Medium Labor Intensive Category).
