About The Position

We’re currently hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician for the Crocs Distribution Center in Vandalia, Ohio. This role supports basic maintenance and repair activities across our 1.3 million square foot Footwear & Accessories distribution facility. It’s an entry-level position that works under close supervision, handling routine maintenance tasks, assisting experienced technicians, and helping ensure smooth operations in a highly automated environment. This position supports our weekend shift: Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • Competence in basic arithmetic for tasks such as counting inventory and checking quantities
  • Ability to understand English (in verbal and written forms) at a level sufficient to communicate accurately and rapidly about workplace tasks and conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Zero to 12 months of relevant experience in warehouse operations

Responsibilities

  • Be Safety Minded: Safety is our top priority. Associates must be committed to fostering a safe environment and promptly reporting any safety concerns.
  • Daily tasks include: Receive and stow inventory using RF Scanners
  • Pick and pack customers e-commerce and wholesale orders, ensuring wholesale shipments meet our customer’s exacting expectations
  • Palletize orders and load shipments into trailers
  • Use RF scanners to read bar codes and stow locations
  • View prompts on a computer screen, read instructions, and confirm a task is completed
  • Identify and escalate to the appropriate leaders as needed
  • Understand and/or operate pallet jacks and walkie riders
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Possess a basic understanding of warehouse management systems and equipment
  • Familiarity with RF scanners and the equipment necessary for their operation
  • Proven ability to efficiently perform tasks within the primary department
  • Demonstrate the ability to comprehend basic processes and systems within the warehouse
  • Address low-complexity issues in the process to ensure smooth operations
  • Exhibit the ability to identify and fix simple issues within the warehouse process
  • Identify where missteps occur and take corrective action
  • Effectively communicate with peers and leadership to ensure seamless coordination within the warehouse
  • Work under close supervision or within clearly defined procedures to maintain operational efficiency
  • Achieve performance targets with an "On Std" rating between 90 – 99%
  • Perform assigned duties effectively and efficiently with a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and meet attendance expectations.
  • Maintain a positive and "can do" attitude.
  • Collaborate as a team player to contribute to the overall success of the warehouse.
