The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a trained person who specializes in fixing and maintaining machines, equipment, and general office appliances. He is versatile in several areas and executes many tasks in a day. The job of a Maintenance Technician requires both indoor and outdoor activities including places such as restrooms, kitchens, and offices throughout the property. He/she carries out a wide range of duties as directed by the facilities manager: these include maintenance on buildings, carpentry, painting, general repair, pest control and landscaping amongst others. This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. They must possess the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining pleasant, flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are equally important, and they must work independently with little or no supervision. This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference.
