Summary Join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician and help keep our Salt Lake City locations running at their best. This hands-on role performs commercial maintenance and repairs, supports preventive maintenance programs, and responds to everyday facility needs. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll work with management, vendors, and contractors to keep our buildings, equipment, and systems safe, reliable, and operating smoothly. Candidates for this position may be required to pass pre-employment and periodic screenings, including background checks, drug and alcohol tests, or other necessary assessments.

Requirements

  • High school graduate, GED, or equivalent education
  • Ability to pass a drug, or other related, screenings.
  • Valid unexpired driver's license.
  • Experience in related trades/ field. Including general knowledge of building systems, materials, basic construction methods for both interior and exterior work, and ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely to complete routine repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Forklift Certified or ability to obtain forklift certification through provided on-site training.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, excellent organization and housekeeping skills.
  • Knowledge of, or prior experience, with computers.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant experience, training, or certifications in one or more building trades is preferred.
  • Experience using a forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain commercial facility condition, appearance, and functionality by performing general maintenance and repairs across facilities, grounds, equipment, and building systems.
  • Use manuals, plans, and technical guidance to determine repair methods.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and vehicles; document findings and maintain accurate logs.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation of systems and equipment.
  • Review daily priorities with management and address urgent maintenance needs.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized work.
  • Perform occasional cleaning tasks and maintain supply inventories, and support internal moves, event setups, and workspace reconfigurations.
  • Complete work professionally and with minimal disruption.
  • Work safely at all times; identify hazards, follow safety procedures, and use required PPE.
