About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Tech is responsible for building services including safety, security, and cleanliness as directed by the Facilities Manager. This role involves developing and maintaining all SIHO facilities to ensure compliance with federal and state OSHA requirements, monitoring all areas for maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep according to SIHO’s corporate standards, and ensuring compliance with PAA regulations for disposing of materials with Protected Health Information (PHI). The technician will also work with the Information Technology department to ensure consistency in telephone and electronic communications (voice/data cabling activities) and contribute to positive financial results by minimizing site waste and rework and effectively using materials. Other duties include presenting a professional appearance, practicing sound public relations and marketing skills, serving as back-up for mail distribution, pick-up, sorting, running mailing equipment, shipping and receiving services, handling overnight packages, and lifting large bundles of mail.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience in facilities management.
  • Demonstrate abilities as a problem solver.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for self and co-workers at all times.
  • Ability to project and maintain a positive attitude and communicate (orally, written, email) effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of facilities maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member, successfully at a self-directed pace in a changing, multi-task environment.
  • Ability to successfully work under, and meet, tight deadlines assuring optimum work environment for all SIHO employees.
  • Demonstrate general maintenance and carpentry skills: Drywall Repair, Painting, Minor Electrical Work.
  • Good visual acuity is necessary.
  • Good manual dexterity is necessary.
  • Ability to walk, stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, and negotiate uneven surfaces is required.
  • Possess a valid Indiana vehicle operator’s license.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
