About The Position

American Repair Maintenance (ARM) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their service delivery team. This role involves providing the highest standard of commercial maintenance and customer service to clients. The ideal candidate is a skilled commercial technician who is detail-oriented, a self-starter, enjoys travel, variety, and autonomy, and wants to be part of a supportive, growing company. The technician will be responsible for completing service tickets in a designated territory in a cost-conscious, high-quality, and timely manner, maintaining clear communication with leads, supervisors, managers, and office staff, and following all policies and procedures for safe working conditions. The role requires flexibility, professionalism, and comfort with technology for work orders and documentation. Travel is a significant component, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, flooring, masonry, EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems), welding, and advanced structural repairs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational certification(s).
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings.
  • Ability to provide own reliable transportation capacity to transport tools and equipment such as 16 ft. ladder, sheet rock, sewer machine.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Comfortable and proficient with technology, including the use of industry-specific software, mobile applications, and digital tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs., apply up to 200 pounds of torque, and perform work while bending, stooping, standing, sitting, and lying down.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings.
  • Complete service tickets in a designated territory in a cost-conscious, high-quality, and timely manner.
  • Maintain clear lines of professional communication with lead technician(s), supervisor(s), Manager(s), and office staff on open issues and progress of all work assigned, including thorough documentation.
  • Be flexible and cooperative with fellow employees and customers while displaying a high level of professionalism.
  • Follow all policies and procedures to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
  • Travel up to 500-2000 miles per week to client sites with paid mileage reimbursement.
  • Be available for a flexible and adaptable schedule, including on-call, overnight, and weekend availability; some assignments may require short overnight travel (1–4 nights).
  • Provide own reliable transportation capacity to transport tools and equipment.
  • Be comfortable and proficient with technology, including industry-specific software, mobile applications, and digital tools to complete work orders, communicate with team members, and document service activities.
  • Lift up to 80 lbs., apply up to 200 pounds of torque, and perform work while bending, stooping, standing, sitting, and lying down.
