About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the site, building, and production support systems. This role involves planning and performing work that requires a thorough knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and construction. The technician will read and interpret diagrams, drawings, specifications, and instructions to perform maintenance and repair work, using a variety of tools. Key responsibilities include maintaining systems such as wastewater treatment, electricity, compressed air, cooling water, HVAC, and roofing, as well as performing preventative, predictive, breakdown, and modification activities. The role also requires clear communication of maintenance issues and solutions, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or completion of high school equivalence exam required
  • Completion of formal apprenticeship training program to the satisfaction of DENSO management, or 2 years of industrial maintenance education or experience with extensive knowledge of industrial maintenance as determined by the job interview and evaluation process
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience working with construction and / or maintenance of facility related systems, electrical, and / or HVAC
  • Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow maintenance, safety, and quality instructions and compile and record maintenance data
  • Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines and tools, and visually inspect equipment, controls and components
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate production equipment, test equipment, tools, and to handle material and components properly
  • Sufficient analysis and planning skills to understand maintenance instructions, troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, robotic, hydraulic, and pneumatic operating systems and to plan work based on such information and analysis results
  • Statistical process control (SPC) experience
  • Programmable Logic Control (PLC) experience
  • Valid driver license
  • Ability to work in extreme temperature environments
  • Ability to operate at heights that could exceed 65ft
  • Willingness to wear required safety equipment and follow safety rules and procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Sufficient visual acuity to read instructions, operate equipment, and visually inspect components.
  • Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment with precision.
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and plan maintenance activities.
  • Valid driver's license is essential for this role.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions and at heights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to interact with diverse teams.
  • Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and wear necessary safety equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • preference for candidates with a technical degree or certification in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Programmable Logic Control (PLC) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, construction.
  • Reads and interprets diagrams, drawings, specifications, and instructions to perform maintenance and repair work.
  • Uses full range of measuring, gauging, analysis, machine and hand tools to perform maintenance work.
  • Perform maintenance tasks associated with the operation, maintenance and modification of the site, building and production support systems including waste water treatment, electricity, compressed air, cooling water, HVAC and roofing.
  • Performs preventative, predictive, breakdown and modification activities related to maintenance.
  • Communicates maintenance problems, results, corrective actions, and recommendations to the chain-of-command, and to the customer as needed.
  • Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company standards or policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by chain-of-command.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, electronic, and robotic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct visual inspections and ensure equipment is operating within specified parameters.
  • Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and document all repairs and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures, wearing the necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Operate at heights, if required, to access and maintain equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, providing clear updates and reports on maintenance activities.
  • Stay updated with the latest maintenance techniques and technologies to enhance productivity.
