Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment
  • Ability to wear respirator
  • One year of experience in general maintenance of multiple facilities including basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, and grounds maintenance

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational/technical school diploma
  • Experience maintaining health care medical equipment
  • Experience driving vehicles with trailers
  • OSHA 10

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily work orders as assigned.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of work environment.
  • Maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, Medical Equipment, and environmental systems.
  • Minor repairs to dog, cat, and small mammal kennels
  • Care for grounds including snow removal, mowing grass, and maintenance of landscaping.
  • Perform minor carpentry projects, painting, and repairing interior and exterior of buildings.
  • Assist Humane Colorado staff with event set-up, hanging signage, and moving equipment and furniture.
  • Maintain all Humane Colorado equipment used for the grounds and building maintenance to ensure proper functioning and safety for use.
  • Monitor Receiving Garage and Restock Shelving
  • Monitor and Restock Supply Closets
  • Facilities Technicians will be on a rotating on-call schedule for after-hour emergencies.
  • Communication occurs through face to face, telephone, and electronic interactions and may also include contact with the general public and Humane Colorado business partners. Communication and contact must be clear, understandable, cooperative, professional and respectful in all circumstances.
  • Employees are expected to actively support a positive team environment, directly address conflict, and appropriately express concerns.
  • This position requires driving a company vehicle
  • This position may require travel to different work sites
