About The Position

As the Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant facility environment within the Fresno plant. This role performs routine janitorial and light maintenance tasks to support plant operations and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards in an agricultural chemical manufacturing setting. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to Fresno, CA to be eligible for consideration. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years of experience in janitorial, custodial, or maintenance work; industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Valid drivers license, with a clean driving record required. Motor vehicle record is checked as part of the contingency process.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and direct sunlight.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning of common areas, restrooms, offices, and production spaces.
  • Handle waste disposal, including proper segregation and disposal of chemical-related materials per company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct minor repairs and upkeep of facility equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance tasks as directed by the Assistant Operations Manager.
  • Follow all OSHA, EPA, and company safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and performing tasks.
  • Report any hazards, spills, or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain stock of cleaning and maintenance supplies; request replenishment as needed.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Act as supply runner and retrieve other necessary items for the facility.
  • Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to support plant needs.
  • Provides support for packaging line operations during periods of increased production demand.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
