About The Position

Performs work of a skilled variety, demanding a high degree of manual and technical competency. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing various systems including pumps, plumbing, boilers, air compressors, glycol chiller systems, wastewater systems, and HVAC. The technician will also be responsible for general building maintenance, including carpentry, drywall, painting, and electrical work. The position requires the ability to read blueprints, operate specific tools, and adhere to company GMP/Safety Standards and policies. Participation in training sessions is also required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of domestic plumbing.
  • Knowledge of all types of valves and functions, including automated valve actuators.
  • Knowledge of RO/DI water systems, ozone, T.O.C., U.V. light filtration.
  • Understanding of boiler operations, chemical feed system, condensate return systems, Y strainers and steam trap functions.
  • Knowledge of rotary screw compressors, air dryers, oil/water separators.
  • Knowledge of Daikin rooftop chillers, glycol/water mixtures, pumps, flow and temperature.
  • Basic understanding of Ph balance and levels.
  • Knowledge of rooftop AC units, exhaust fans, automated louvers, gas heaters.
  • General construction ability.
  • Ability to repair drywall, light fixtures/bulbs, perform general bathroom repairs, and painting.
  • Ability to perform daily facility inspections and repairs.
  • Knowledge and ability to use all types of hand tools and power tools.
  • Knowledge of low voltage (12v thru 120v) electrical circuits and breaker boxes.
  • Ability to perform egress lighting, fire extinguisher inspections, and storm water inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps.
  • Locate and determine malfunctions using test equipment.
  • Perform facilities repair, carpentry, drywall, and paint.
  • Perform plumbing tasks.
  • Perform checks on safety equipment.
  • Perform basic Tig and Mig welding on mild steel and stainless steel.
  • Read blueprints.
  • Move parts and frames on and off machinery and throughout the facility.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities in a safe operating condition.
  • Repair breakdowns as required.
  • Make operating line adjustments as requested.
  • Operate angle grinder, manual vertical band saw, and pedestal grinder.
  • Understand and follow company GMP/Safety Standards and policies.
  • Participate in safety and GMP training sessions, and other company training sessions.
