About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure assigned Dee Zee buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.

Requirements

1+ year of janitorial or custodial experience required
Ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative working relationships with others.
Ability to safely operate facilities-related equipment as needed.

Nice To Haves

experience in a production environment is a plus.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain offices, meeting rooms and employee recreational facilities.
Clean and maintain tile and concrete flooring, including routine mopping.
Dust and clean fixtures and furniture as needed.
Empty wastebaskets and trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately.
Keep areas surrounding entrances and exits clean and free of snow, litter, and debris.
Replenish restroom supplies, including toilet tissue and soap, as needed.
Vacuum and maintain carpeted areas and rugs.
Clean and disinfect restroom floors, toilets, toilet seats and hand dryers.
Clean and maintain glass entrance and exit doors.
Clean and maintain mirrors and other glass surfaces.
