About The Position

American Repair Maintenance (ARM) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their service delivery team. This role involves delivering the highest standard of commercial maintenance and customer service to clients. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-starter who enjoys travel, variety, and autonomy. The technician will be responsible for completing service tickets in a designated territory in a cost-conscious, high-quality, and timely manner, maintaining clear communication with supervisors and office staff, and following all policies and procedures for safe working conditions. The role requires travel up to 500-2000 miles per week, with paid mileage reimbursement, and flexibility for on-call, overnight, and weekend availability. The technician must provide their own reliable transportation and tools, and be proficient with technology for work orders and documentation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, flooring, masonry, EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems), welding, and advanced structural repairs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational certification(s).
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings.
  • Ability to provide own reliable transportation capacity to transport tools and equipment such as 16 ft. ladder, sheet rock, sewer machine.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Possession of hand tools and a toolbox suitable for the job.
  • Comfortable and proficient with technology, including the use of industry-specific software, mobile applications, and digital tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs., apply up to 200 pounds of torque, and perform work while bending, stooping, standing, sitting, and lying down.

  • Be flexible and cooperative with fellow employees and customers while displaying a high level of professionalism.
  • Follow all policies and procedures to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
  • Travel up to 500-2000 miles per week to client sites with paid mileage reimbursement.
  • Be flexible and adaptable with schedule, including on-call, overnight, and weekend availability; some assignments may require short overnight travel (1–4 nights).
  • Provide own reliable transportation capacity to transport tools and equipment.
