About The Position

The Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club is seeking a seasonal Facilities Maintenance Technician for a 3-month contract during the Summer season. This role is responsible for maintaining the building, grounds, and equipment around the Club, ensuring high service standards for activity-related maintenance. The Club is a family-oriented private club with over 4,000 members, focused on delivering exceptional experiences and upholding values of Sportsmanship, Heritage, Excellence, and Wellness.

Requirements

• A minimum of six (6) months of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with maintaining lawns and gardens, including the use of machinery and equipment.
• Ability to operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Heavy lifting is required.
• Flexible to work variable shifts including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and turf, including the Cricket field, Cricket Square, Croquet Swards, Lawn Bowling, and Club exterior, landscaping, walkways, and parking lots.
• Maintain hard and clay tennis courts.
• Ensure all equipment is well-kept, maintained, and cleaned.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and removal of air-supported bubbles.
• Set up and take down equipment elements for various activities like Cricket, Croquet, and Tennis.
• Monitor pool and mechanical equipment according to opening/closing checklists.
