About The Position

Devoción is the only roaster in the U.S. roasting fresh green beans just 15–30 days after leaving origin — far faster than traditional roasters. To support this high standard, we are hiring a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our cafes and production spaces running smoothly. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving mechanical problems, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and wants to build specialized technical skills—especially within the coffee industry.

Requirements

• Previous experience in general maintenance or as a handyperson
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Strong sense of responsibility and willingness to learn
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work both independently and within a team

Nice To Haves

• Experience with general maintenance projects
• Experience with coffee equipment or similar machinery
• Interest in coffee and related technology
• Experience in commercial or industrial maintenance environments

Responsibilities

• Perform general facility repairs (basic electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.)
• Conduct preventative maintenance across locations
• Assist with installation and repair of coffee equipment
• Diagnose maintenance issues and propose effective solutions
• Maintain organized tools and clean workspaces
• Travel between Brooklyn and Manhattan locations as needed
• Learn and apply maintenance techniques for specialized coffee machinery
