About The Position

Castelion is seeking a skilled Facilities Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and operational integrity of its facilities. The technician performs preventive maintenance and troubleshoots a range of equipment, including CNC machines, furnaces, vacuum systems, thermal chambers, and facility building systems such as compressed air, HVAC, gates, and rollup doors. The role diagnoses and repairs electrical, mechanical, and controls issues down to the component level, including PLCs, servomotors, actuators, and gearboxes. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-focused, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The position may require access to classified information or restricted U.S. Government sites, systems, or information. If designated, employment may depend on obtaining and maintaining the required government clearance or authorization and meeting applicable citizenship or other eligibility requirements. The role requires access to export-controlled information; employment is contingent on the candidate being able to access applicable information without additional export licensing. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 5 years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Hands-on experience repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
Must be able to pass background checks as required by job-site regulations.
Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving bending, climbing ladders, grasping, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching.
Comfort working at heights up to 100 feet and using ladders or aerial lifts.
Ability to access applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing being required.
If government clearance or authorization requirements apply to the position, ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance or authorization and meet any applicable citizenship or other eligibility requirements.

Nice To Haves

At least 10 years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Maintenance experience with CNC machines such as Doosan (DN Solutions), Haas, and manual lathes or mills.
Maintenance experience with electric furnaces or ovens, vacuum systems, and environmental thermal testing chambers.
Familiarity with a CMMS platform such as eMaint or Maximo, or similar, and with Jira Ticketing system.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair critical equipment to ensure it remains in proper operating condition.
Perform weekly scheduled preventive maintenance on production and infrastructure equipment to prevent breakdowns and maintain reliability.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls-system issues down to the component level to minimize downtime.
Read and use equipment maintenance manuals, schematics, and drawings, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic materials.
Open, track, and resolve work-order tickets through the internal CMMS system.
Assist in managing site-wide operations and maintenance programs as assigned.
Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts when necessary.
