About The Position

This role involves skilled work demanding high manual and technical competency, including troubleshooting and repairing pumps, facilities repair (carpentry, drywall, paint, plumbing), and performing checks on safety equipment. The technician will also perform basic Tig and Mig welding, read blueprints, and move parts and frames. Key responsibilities include maintaining equipment and facilities in safe operating condition, repairing breakdowns, and making operating line adjustments. The role requires operating various tools like angle grinders, manual vertical band saws, and pedestal grinders, while adhering to company GMP/Safety Standards and policies. The position also requires knowledge in piping (domestic plumbing, valves), USP Water systems (RO/DI, ozone, T.O.C., U.V. light filtration), boiler operations (chemical feed, condensate return, strainers, steam traps), air compressors (rotary screw, air dryers, oil/water separators), glycol chiller systems (Daikin chillers, glycol/water mixtures, pumps, flow, temperature), wastewater (Ph balance), HVAC (rooftop AC, exhaust fans, automated louvers, gas heaters), building maintenance (general construction, drywall, light fixtures, bathroom repairs, painting, daily inspections, egress lighting, fire extinguisher inspections, storm water inspections), and electrical (low voltage circuits, breaker box). This position has no supervisory responsibilities. All employment offers are contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Requirements

Ability to troubleshoot and repair pump's
Ability to read blueprints
Knowledge of domestic plumbing
Knowledge of all types of valves and functions, including automated valve actuators
Knowledge of RO/DI water systems, ozone, T.O.C., U.V. light filtration
Understanding boiler operations, chemical feed system, condensate return systems, Y strainers and steam trap functions
Knowledge of rotary screw compressors, air dryers, oil/water separators
Knowledge of Daikin rooftop chillers, glycol/water mixtures, pumps, flow and temperature
Basic understanding of Ph balance and levels (wastewater)
Knowledge of rooftop AC units, exhaust fans, automated louvers, gas heaters
General construction ability
Knowledge and ability to use all types of hand tools and power tools
Knowledge of low voltage (12v thru 120v) electrical circuits, breaker box

Responsibilities

Maintains equipment and facilities in a safe operating condition
Repair breakdowns as required
Makes operating line adjustments as requested
Operate angle grinder, manual vertical band saw, and pedestal grinder
Understand and follow company GMP/Safety Standards and policies
Participate, as required, in safety and GMP training sessions, and other company training sessions
Perform piping tasks
Perform USP Water system maintenance
Perform boiler operations and maintenance
Perform air compressor maintenance
Perform glycol chiller system maintenance
Perform wastewater system checks
Perform HVAC maintenance
Perform building maintenance, including general construction, drywall repair, light fixture/bulb repair, general bathroom repairs, painting, daily facility inspections and repairs, egress lighting, fire extinguisher inspections, and storm water inspections
Use all types of hand tools and power tools
Work with low voltage (12v thru 120v) electrical circuits and breaker boxes
