About The Position

Facilities Maintenance Technician We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to provide routine and preventative maintenance throughout STAR'S facility locations which include day program and residential settings. Our ideal candidate will have had experience working on a maintenance team previously and have the basic skills needed to complete maintenance tasks. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One to three years of general building maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic carpentry, painting, plumbing and general building repairs
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical tasks, including bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid Drivers License with Acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a nonprofit, healthcare, human services or residential setting a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting routine inspections of building systems, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and other life safety equipment.
  • Completing general maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, DDS regulations, and other applicable health and safety requirements.
  • Assisting with maintaining accurate inspection and maintenance records.
  • Supporting the overall operation of STAR's facilities.
  • Responding promptly to maintenance issues and facility emergencies.
  • Identifying and addressing potential safety concerns.
  • Helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the individuals we support and our employees.
