About The Position

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED
  • 8+ years’ experience in HVAC, industrial maintenance, or lab operations
  • Proficient with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated maintenance planning and execution skills
  • Strong knowledge of safety practices and standard operating procedures
  • Hands-on technical expertise with HVAC and facility systems
  • Ability to work in a dynamic lab environment, standing and lifting as required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field
  • Experience in HVAC test labs or chiller testing
  • Familiarity with AHRI standards and lab testing protocols
  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA, LabView, or Yokogawa systems
  • Expertise in hydronic systems, cooling towers, and industrial utilities
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret schematics and P&IDs

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC test rigs, lab infrastructure, and plant support systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical panels, PLCs, VFDs, HVAC components, and power distribution equipment
  • Maintain and service chillers, AHUs, cooling towers, pumps, compressors, and piping systems to maximize uptime
  • Ensure safe operation and compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), OSHA, AHRI, and internal safety standards
  • Support calibration and instrumentation for sensors and lab measurement systems
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical and electrical schematics, and system diagrams
  • Collaborate with test engineers, supervisors, and vendors to support seamless test execution
  • Track maintenance KPIs, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and write standard operating instructions for lab equipment
