About The Position

This position is responsible to provide support to maintain continuous operation of Dimatix’s facilities through monitoring and reporting on mechanical and electrical systems, insuring the full operation of Dimatix’s clean rooms through daily monitoring and collecting data, and insuring a safe working environment for other Dimatix employees. Knowledge & Application Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. Complexity & Problem Solving Works on assignments that are routine in nature requiring limited judgment. Problems encountered will typically be well defined, repetitive, and routine with readily available solutions. Little or no role expected in decision-making. Impact will be limited to the delivery of own work tasks which are managed on a day-to-day or task-by-task basis. Financial/business impact is typically limited and hard to measure; Awareness of cost and profitability of operations is not required. Collaboration & Interaction Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under close supervision. Supports the achievement of goals through personal effort in own work area. Interaction with others is limited to own team with little requirement for internal or external contact.

Requirements

  • Must be a self-starter with service and detail orientation.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Position will requires standing or walking 85% of the day, moderate lifting, and travel between Dimatix facilities.
  • Ability to perform physical labor in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work without supervision on an ongoing basis.
  • High School graduate.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and comprehend instruction by others
  • Basic math skills
  • General ability to comprehend basic function of Facility infrastructure and support.
  • Ability to identify and report back to Tech III positions any plumbing, HVAC or electrical issues.
  • Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles as needed.
  • Operation of snow removal equipment. Plow truck, skid steer, tractor and a snow blower
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years of related experience
  • Demonstrates ability to apply analytical and troubleshooting skills to repair facilities and operations-related equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Self-starter with customer service and detailed orientation
  • Ability to be trained in proper handling of chemicals and hazardous waste.

Responsibilities

  • Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines.
  • Paints machines or equipment to prevent corrosion.
  • Changes light bulbs
  • Ability to train on and manipulate Building Management System (BMS)
  • Performs daily readings on all systems and calls in readings to vendors (i.e., nitrogen).
  • Cuts out and joins parts for worktables, benches, shelves and other furnishings.
  • Patches or replaces plaster or plasterboard and paints walls, ceilings, and trim of building.
  • Clears clogged drains; and replaces plumbing fixtures.
  • Furnishes Facilities Technicians III with materials, tools and supplies.
  • Cleans work area, tools and equipment.
  • Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilating equipment.
  • Maintains stock areas and reports shortages of critical components and supplies
  • Assists in company function set up
  • Responsible for carrying an emergency On-Call pager on (7) seven-day duration rotated between Tec’s. Responding to 24/7 facility support and response to BMS alarms and building infrastructure failures.
  • Receive instruction, training and mentoring from Lead Tech.
  • Maintains and checks walkways for safe ingress and egress.
  • Work fluently from a computerized work order system administered by others.
  • Manages furniture stock and provides basic fit up for offices.
  • Maintains on-site storage. Assists other departments in retrieving off site materials.
  • Provides set up for meetings.
  • Gives input for space planning.
  • Assists with projects.
  • Completes errands as needed.
  • Completes seasonal tasks as needed.
  • Performs other routine duties

  • Responsible for completing maintenance on buildings and related areas, including: painting, patching, replacing light bulbs and small plumbing issues.
