About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Tech is responsible for the overall general maintenance and exterior upkeep/cleaning of company buildings. This role requires a full understanding of basic plumbing, HVAC, and electrical knowledge, and may involve tasks such as repairing and replacing HVAC components, performing glazier duties, basic electrical installations and repairs under supervision, and general plumbing and painting tasks. An EPA Certification is also required.

Requirements

  • EPA Certification
  • Full understanding of basic plumbing, HVAC, and electrical knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of circuitry and operation of Freon gauges.
  • Ability to identify and perform basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks.
  • Ability to open clogged lines and drains.
  • Ability to replace washers and other minor plumbing parts.
  • Ability to maintain and monitor septic systems.
  • Ability to apply and prepare various surfaces for paint, enamel, lacquer, varnish, or stain.
  • Ability to repair wall coverings.
  • Ability to remove broken glass, putty, or plastic.
  • Ability to replace windows and door hardware.
  • Ability to replace or arrange for replacement of glass for windows, doors, and light fixtures.
  • Ability to perform basic electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, power circuits, and appliances under supervision.
  • Ability to repair lighting systems.
  • Ability to inspect electrical systems for unsafe conditions.
  • Ability to repair and/or replace HVAC filters, Air Handlers, and heat packs.

  • Replace or arrange for replacement of glass for windows, doors, and light fixtures.
  • Perform basic electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, power circuits, and appliances under supervision.
  • Repair lighting systems and inspect electrical systems for unsafe conditions.
  • Perform basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks and open clogged lines and drains.
  • Replace washers and other minor plumbing parts.
