About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is a working supervisor responsible for overseeing all facility and equipment maintenance/upgrades, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations across the plant. This role is a hands-on leader who will initially operate as a department of one while building processes, systems, and eventually a team to support future growth.

Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Demonstrated success in a similar role with increasing responsibility.
Experience managing inventory and maintenance systems strongly preferred.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Must be able and willing to travel locally between Buffalo and Tonawanda, NY, and visit field service work sites as needed.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance programs for facility systems and equipment.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of machinery and building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and basic plumbing/HVAC.
Oversee general facility upkeep and upgrades including lighting, building structure, and overall plant condition.
Maintain and track inventory of maintenance supplies, spare parts, consumables, and filters.
Establish organized systems for work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory management.
Partner with operations and leadership to minimize downtime and support production efficiency.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings, and equipment reliability enhancements.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Coordinate external vendors and contractors as needed.
Operate initially as a department of one while building processes and infrastructure for future growth.
Supervise janitorial staff responsible for facility cleanliness including Floor cleaning (including sweeper operation), Trash and recycling removal, General cleaning (windows, stairwells, common areas, etc.).
Provide leadership, direction, and accountability for facility standards and housekeeping.
Planning and directing work.
Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
Creating, Maintaining, and training employees on relevant work instructions.
Maintaining consumables, tools, and equipment logs.
Ensuring Safety policies in areas and PPE requirements are being met.
