About The Position

The Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment, facilities, utilities, tooling support systems, and preventative maintenance programs at Amphenol CDI's Cerritos manufacturing facility. The position leads maintenance personnel and coordinates repairs, equipment uptime initiatives, contractor activities, facility improvements, and asset reliability programs.
The Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor supports Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance through execution of facility inspections, corrective actions, preventative maintenance programs, regulatory remediation activities, and equipment safety programs. This role partners with Human Resources, Operations, Quality, and company EHS resources to maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.
The position supports a manufacturing operation that includes Swiss screw machines, CNC milling equipment, air compressor systems, soldering equipment, curing and bake ovens, facility utilities, and related production support equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supervising maintenance personnel, contractors, and facility projects.
• Strong knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability practices.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and CAL/OSHA requirements.
• Experience supporting regulatory inspections and corrective action programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Proficiency with CMMS or maintenance management software.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and project management skills.
• Knowledge of facility systems and industrial utilities.
• Understanding of OSHA, CAL/OSHA, machine guarding, and LOTO requirements.
• Strong leadership and employee development skills.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Root cause analysis and continuous improvement experience.

• Position requires candidate to be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CNC machining equipment, Swiss-style machining equipment, or similar manufacturing technologies preferred.
• Experience maintaining industrial utility systems including compressed air, HVAC, electrical distribution, and fire protection systems.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
• Aerospace, defense, precision machining, or electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Conversational in any other language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead maintenance technicians and facility support personnel.
• Develop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs for production equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Maintain high levels of equipment uptime and responsiveness to production needs.
• Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs for manufacturing equipment, including: Deco 10 Swiss machines, CNC milling machines, Air compressor systems, Soldering equipment, Small industrial ovens, Material handling equipment, Facility electrical and mechanical systems.
• Coordinate equipment installations, relocations, upgrades, and decommissioning activities.
• Manage outside service providers and maintenance contractors.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, spare parts inventory, and equipment documentation.
• Administer CMMS/E-Maintenance software including preventative maintenance schedules, work order prioritization, and closure activities.
• Manage tooling and spare parts inventory to minimize downtime and support production requirements.
• Support capital equipment and facility improvement projects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Ensure proper implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and machine safety requirements.
• Oversee building systems including electrical, HVAC, compressed air, lighting, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Coordinate landlord, utility, and contractor activities.
• Ensure facility readiness for customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
• Manage facility repairs and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Support emergency response and business continuity planning.
• Conduct facility safety inspections and audits.
• Support CAL/OSHA inspections, Fire Department inspections, environmental audits, and customer compliance assessments.
• Track and complete corrective actions resulting from inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Maintain safety equipment, emergency response equipment, and facility compliance systems.
• Support hazardous waste storage areas, chemical management programs, and environmental compliance activities.
• Assist with safety training related to equipment operation, machine guarding, facility safety, and contractor safety.
• Participate in Safety Committee activities and support site-wide safety initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, CAL/OSHA, Fire Code, and environmental requirements as they relate to facility operations and maintenance activities.
