About The Position

Responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, appearance, and operational readiness of Credit Union facilities, grounds, equipment, and fleet vehicles. Coordinates preventive maintenance, repairs, contractor services, and facility-related projects to ensure a safe, secure, and efficient environment for employees and members. Provides courier services, manages facilities supply inventories, and supports custodial and maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, property maintenance, or a related field, including responsibility for building systems, preventive maintenance, vendor coordination, and general repair activities.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • A valid state driver's license is required.
  • Requires the ability to work a schedule with flexible hours, including nights and weekend hours as deemed necessary by management.
  • General maintenance experience is desired including technical skills, working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, reading and interpreting blueprints and site plans.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary to effectively deal with members, vendors, management, and other credit union personnel.
  • Must be able to operate a personal computer and possess a functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software.
  • Strong planning, analytical, problem solving, organizational and project management skills are required.
  • CLIMBING: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
  • BALANCING: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
  • STOOPING: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
  • REACHING: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • STANDING: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
  • WALKING: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
  • PUSHING: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
  • PULLING: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
  • LIFTING: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to-position.
  • FINGERING: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
  • EXERTION: May require exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • VISUAL ACUITY: Individual is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
  • Position is subject to both internal and external environmental conditions. Activities may occur inside and outside.
  • Position is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
  • State of Pennsylvania residency required.
  • Candidates must be bondable in accordance with the Credit Union’s bonding requirements and successfully complete all pre-employment requirements, including a background check and drug screening.
  • Candidates must also be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and performs preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, inspections and custodial support for all Credit Union facilities, equipment, and grounds to ensure safe and efficient operations. Communicates with Market Managers to relay work response schedule and ensure preparedness and minimal service interruptions for staff and members.
  • Manages vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring services are completed in accordance with contracts, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Investigates and resolves facility-related issues, contractor concerns, and maintenance service interruptions in a timely manner.
  • Provides courier and delivery services, including transportation of mail, supplies, packages, and interoffice materials between branch locations and the post office.
  • Maintains inventory and distribution of facility maintenance supplies, equipment, and related materials.
  • Maintains Credit Union fleet vehicles, including scheduling maintenance, inspections, repairs, registrations, and related recordkeeping.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
