About The Position

Pro Signs is a national leader in the development of corporate branding solutions, operating an 80,000 square foot sign manufacturing facility. We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to support operations by maintaining and repairing shop equipment, managing facilities maintenance, and assisting the fleet mechanic. This is a full-time, on-site, non-exempt hourly position with hours from Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Requirements

Working knowledge and experience with Lock Out Tag Out procedures in a manufacturing environment.
General mechanical and maintenance abilities with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing shop and/or equipment maintenance.
Experience with forklifts, industrial machinery, hand tools/ power tools required.
Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Must be able to work as part of a team, be dependable, and motivated to work.
Must have basic computer skills (MS Office: Teams, Excel, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

Welding experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on shop equipment and forklifts.
Maintain a preventative maintenance plan for all shop equipment.
Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing shop equipment and forklifts.
General building maintenance and repair.
Document all maintenance and repairs to shop equipment and forklifts.
Support the fleet mechanic in minor repairs as needed and serve as a backup in the absence of the fleet mechanic.
Lead environmental management by maintaining clean working areas, coordinating with outside vendors, and assisting in staging any waste for removal.
Adhere to safety guidelines and complete required safety trainings.
Additional duties as assigned.
