About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Systems Engineering Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Deionized Water (DIW) and Industrial Wastewater (IWW) systems within our advanced semiconductor manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical systems, a strong understanding of fluid handling processes, and a commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
6+ years of experience in mechanical systems maintenance, preferably in a semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of DIW and IWW systems, including water purification, chemical dosing, and wastewater treatment processes.
Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field, or equivalent military or technical training.
Experience with SCADA systems, Microsoft Package and CMMS software.
Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and semiconductor facility operations.
Certification in water treatment or wastewater operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor system performance and assist in data collection and analysis to ensure optimal operation and compliance with environmental regulations.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades.
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of DIW and IWW systems, including pumps, valves, filters, tanks, and instrumentation.
Support system startups, shutdowns, and changeovers in coordination with engineering and operations teams.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance, and incidents.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including equipment engineering, EHS, and facilities operations.
Respond to system alarms and emergencies, providing timely and effective resolution.
Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.
Should have working knowledge of PVAC, PCW, ChW, Steam, HotW, and Exhaust (Acid, VOC, Caustic, General) Systems.
Would also be called upon to fill in as an operator on an occasional basis
