About The Position
A Facilities Intern is responsible for the upkeep of the facility by performing various functions such as general plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, and painting to name a few. The following details are not definitive and subject to change based on organizational needs.
Requirements
- HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED.
- Knowledge of hazardous risks with cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Strong work ethics & is a great team player.
- Able to prioritize tasks and follow procedures.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- Experience using dollies, pallet jacks and forklifts.
Responsibilities
- Assisting current facility staff with projects in various locations.
- Clean and maintain common areas of the facility including break rooms, restrooms, stores and warehouse.
- Cleaning includes dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, painting etc.
- Maintain and perform routine inspections.
- Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Work with other departments when instructed.
- Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
