About The Position

Jet Midwest is a full-service commercial aviation company specializing in the sale and lease of commercial aircraft, engines, and parts, as well as aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services. This position is located at the Kansas City International Airport Area. The company occupies a large, leased facility with responsibility for interior building systems including the physical structure, electrical, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, and finishes, as well as the parking lot. The maintenance of this older facility presents unique challenges. The company also owns the majority of its equipment and tooling, making their maintenance the responsibility of the facilities department. The successful candidate will be comfortable prioritizing projects and expenditures creatively and maintaining good relationships with the city, tenants, and sub-tenants.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience, training, and demonstrated performance in Commercial/Industrial building maintenance.
  • Vehicle maintenance (such as ground support equipment, automotive maintenance, etc).
  • Diesel/Gas/Propane engine repairs.
  • Electrical diagnostic and repairs.
  • Experience with Forklifts, Tow Tractors, Boom lifts, Scissor lifts, Golf Carts.
  • Hydraulic System maintenance.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain SIDA clearance with the Kansas City Airport.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Jet Midwest facilities and equipment are maintained at a high level of operational readiness, safety, and comfort that reflects positively on JMW.
  • Ensure internal customers receive top-notch support and assistance with maintenance tasks, as assigned.
  • Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance on the facility, ground support equipment, and company tooling, safety equipment, building systems, and other areas as needed/assigned.
  • Operate motorized lift equipment such as scissor lift, forklift, aerial lift etc. to accomplish work tasks as required.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs.
  • Provide some after-hours support on evenings and weekends.
  • Other duties as assigned.
