About The Position

The Facility Maintenance Generalist performs preventative maintenance and general repairs. Works under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager in the service and repair of all facility assets. Observes all safety and sanitation rules and regulations. Performs maintenance and repair of rack systems, dock equipment, lighting systems, mechanical, electrical and other physical structures. Performs building maintenance requiring painting structures, dry wall and plaster, masonry work and grounds maintenance. Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required. Reports to work when scheduled and on time. Adheres to company policies and departmental guidelines. Attends departmental and company meetings. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Proven knowledge of machine repair.
• Ability to follow machinery safety procedures.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Trade school/vocational schooling in related area preferred.
• General maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
