Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Maintenance Facility Engineer II – to join our – team! Performs corrective and preventive maintenance to the buildings, building systems, and grounds in accordance with Park Nicollet’s standard practices. Ensures optimum efficiency and reliability of life safety systems, non-regulated patient care equipment, and facility systems for all PNHS clinic locations. Troubleshoots issues with aforementioned systems. Interfaces with and acts as a liaison to a wide variety of internal clients, including clinic staff, patients, and clinic leadership. Understands impact of operational decisions with respect to comfort, safety, compliance, finance, and energy. May exert some influence in the adoption of new maintenance systems or products by covering several of the following: ongoing maintenance, educating new products. Able to provide direct assistance to Supervisor/Manager with strategic operations of the clinic maintenance and work alongside the clinic staff to accomplish overall maintenance objectives. Likely provides a moderate amount of work direction to others to successfully accomplish work assignments. Work varies from the moderately complex to complex. Participates in major projects, clearly communicates requirements from an operational perspective to the project team. In addition to the above duties of a Facilities Maintenance Engineer II, this senior level position participates in planning of systems, project development and management, and the technical leadership of junior team members. Advises Supervisor/Manager on and guides implementation of preventive maintenance plan activities; both reviewing existing plans and adjusting as well as developing plans for new equipment. Advises Supervisor/Manager on systems operational strategy improvements and develops and presents implementation for decisions. Provides subject matter expertise on building systems; can assess and communicate risks of system outages, develop, and provide solution options to Supervisor/Manager as well as non-technical staff for decision making. Identifies team training opportunities; can effectively train other members of team or identify other avenues for team members to acquire training. Can develop and manage small maintenance projects (<$25,000), including scope development, contractor/team member selection, task delegation/coordination, site management and issue resolution within company business and patient care policies. Continuously learns about new products and technologies, through industry publications/information, and presents to Supervisor/Manager for consideration. Identifies systems energy savings opportunities and develops plans for consideration by Manager/Supervisor.
