About The Position

Facilities Maintenance Assistant Full-Time | The Shores, a UMC Community. Pick a 9am, 11am, or noon start and earn $17.49 to $18.65 an hour at The Shores, a senior living community within walking distance of the Ocean City beach. We reply to every applicant within 48 hours. Older adults call The Shores home. Some live on their own, and others get assisted living, memory care, or nursing care. When a faucet drips or a light goes out in someone's apartment, you're the one who makes it right.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 18 or older
• Able to read work orders and safety labels and talk clearly with residents and staff

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on repair experience from a job, trade school, or your own projects
• Basic carpentry, electrical, or plumbing skills

Responsibilities

• Handle everyday repairs, including minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
• Answer repair requests from residents and staff and see each one through to the finish
• Do preventive maintenance so equipment and building systems keep running
• Log work orders and inspections in our maintenance tracking system
• Keep supplies stocked and help with ordering and storage
• Spot safety hazards and fix them or report them
