About The Position

Moment Energy is seeking a proactive and highly organized Facilities Lead to oversee the operations, maintenance, and infrastructure of our growing manufacturing facility. As Moment Energy transitions into a significantly larger production space, this role will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities, equipment infrastructure, and workplace systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys building scalable facility processes for a rapidly growing cleantech company. The Facilities Lead will manage building operations, coordinate contractors and vendors, and ensure facility readiness for both production and office teams. In addition, this role will serve as the primary internal liaison for IT services, working with our external Managed Service Provider (MSP) to support company-wide IT systems and infrastructure. This role does not manage production operations but ensures the facility and infrastructure enable production teams to operate effectively.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, building operations, or workplace infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial facilities.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, cleantech, or energy startup.
  • Experience supporting facility expansion or relocation projects.
  • Strong experience managing vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Familiarity with facility systems such as electrical distribution, HVAC, production equipment and building maintenance.
  • Experience supporting workplace health and safety programs.
  • Familiarity with quality and operational improvement methodologies such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices within a production or technical environment.
  • Experience coordinating IT infrastructure or working with external IT service providers.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with workplace IT systems, networking basics, and office infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and facility compliance standards.
  • Experience managing external contractors and consultants, including coordinating RFQs, negotiating contracts and Statements of Work (SOW), and supporting permitting processes for facility or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the company’s manufacturing and office facilities.
  • Ensure facility infrastructure (power distribution, HVAC, safety systems, lighting, etc.) operates reliably to support manufacturing activities.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance programs for building systems and facility equipment.
  • Manage relationships with facility service providers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Coordinate facility repairs, upgrades, and building projects.
  • Support layout planning and facility improvements as the company scales production.
  • Maintain facility documentation including drawings, asset lists, and maintenance records.
  • Partner with production and manufacturing teams to ensure facility infrastructure supports production equipment and testing operations.
  • Coordinate installation of new equipment.
  • Support facility readiness for new production lines, test equipment, and R&D activities.
  • Coordinate IT infrastructure projects including network setup, workstation deployments, security systems, and access control.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding IT logistics (equipment setup, email account coordination, user access, etc.).
  • Ensure reliable office and production network connectivity.
  • Track IT assets such as laptops, workstations, and network equipment.
  • Partner with the Health & Safety team to ensure facilities meet regulatory and workplace safety requirements.
  • Maintain building-related safety systems such as fire suppression, emergency lighting, and evacuation infrastructure.
  • Support inspections, audits, and compliance requirements related to facility operations.
  • Support workplace health and safety programs, including facility safety practices, hazard identification, and compliance with occupational health and safety standards in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Help develop scalable systems for facility operations as Moment Energy grows.
  • Assist with facility expansion projects, renovations, and workspace planning.
  • Manage facility budgets related to maintenance, services, and operational improvements.
