About The Position

Veev is leading the transformation of the construction industry with an innovative approach to home construction. Veev has developed a vertically integrated approach that involves multidisciplinary collaboration across real estate, design, development, engineering, manufacturing, and construction. A Facilities Lead oversees physical workplaces, managing building operations, facilities equipment maintenance, and vendor contracts. Typically functioning as the operational backbone for a site, this hands-on leadership role coordinates repairs, manages safety compliance (OSHA/Cal-OSHA), and ensures daily facility uptime. This role requires a leader who is ready and able to collaborate cross-functionally to bring high-quality equipment solutions to a variety of production needs. The successful candidate will be comfortable with working on the factory floor (understanding the day-to-day tasks of our assemblers and machine-operators, equipment trials, modification, and commissioning, hands-on problem-solving to keep the production line running, etc.)

Requirements

  • 5+ years in facility maintenance, building operations, or a technical trade (HVAC/electrical).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • Technical degree or trade/mechanical training related to the operation and maintenance of facility systems.
  • Participation in a rotational emergency on-call program is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing preventive maintenance schedules using a CMMS system ensuring regular inspections and servicing of life safety systems, equipment and facilities.
  • Planning and directing preventative maintenance tasks for HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, etc.
  • Perform skilled trades tasks like carpentry, painting, plumbing, HVAC, or electrical work as required to complete maintenance and facility projects.
  • Procuring and coordinating contracted services associated with facility and site maintenance, facility renovations and construction projects.
  • Development of the preventative maintenance system using CMMS software and continuous improvement projects in facilities operations.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance protocols.
  • Establish spare parts and consumables inventory and replenish as needed.
  • Document the completion of work orders thoroughly, detailing steps taken, parts installed, and repairs performed on all equipment and building systems.
  • Conducting routine safety audits and adherence to building codes.
  • Coordinate the hazardous waste management program.
  • Support EHS compliance efforts.
  • Supervising maintenance personnel, leading continuous improvement efforts, managing work requests and maintaining a high level of productivity in the group.
  • Mentor technicians to support their professional growth and align with organizational goals.
