About The Position

This position reports to the Tribal Facilities Supervisor. A person in this position will be responsible for assisting the Tribal Facilities Supervisor and Tribal Facilities Engineers in their duties in areas including but not limited to preventative maintenance, walkthrough inspections, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, equipment repair, heavy equipment operation, tool management, and safety compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
• Minimum one year’s experience in facility maintenance.
• On-the-job training, certificates in facilities, engineering and maintenance.
• Needs to be knowledgeable in two or more of the following: HVAC, plumbing, electronics, carpentry, painting, diesel systems, hydraulics, water distribution or treatment, metal fabrication, landscaping, heavy equipment operation or general trades.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Immunizations TDAP, Hep A & B Series (Diphtheria & titers).

Responsibilities

• Respond to scheduled work requests and perform preventative maintenance, facility walkthroughs, and in-depth inspections.
• Assisting Tribal EPA in land maintenance projects.
• Assisting the Tribal Mechanic/Tribal Pool Technician with routine maintenance and upkeep.
• Providing maintenance and repair services to Tribally owned homes.
