About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to perform custodial and housekeeping duties to maintain satellite communications facilities and associated support structures at the White Sands Complex (WSC) in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. This position supports the Facilities Maintenance & Operations (M&O) Department and ensures all assigned areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with contract requirements. Requirements

Minimum of three (3) years of custodial/janitorial experience in a commercial or industrial environment.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Practical knowledge of workplace safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and adapt to changing priorities.
Position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA); union membership may be required.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Responsibilities

Perform routine custodial duties, including sweeping, wet/dust mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break areas, and common spaces.
Strip, wax, and buff floors and maintain various floor surfaces.
Clean windows, walls, and other interior/exterior surfaces as assigned.
Maintain custodial equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
Follow established cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Support facility readiness by maintaining a clean and hazard-free environment.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
