Seeking an experienced onsite Facilities HVAC Technician The Facilities HVAC Technician demonstrates the ability to follow and apply verbal and written instructions using logical problemâ€‘solving to troubleshoot HVAC equipment and systems, prioritize multiple maintenance tasks, and maximize system performance. Knowledgeable in sourcing and ordering HVAC parts, with the ability to fabricate components as needed to support nonâ€‘standard or urgent repairs. Utilize skills in, millwright, electrical, and electronics to install, modify, assemble, and maintain equipment and associated supply systems. Accomplish tasks by effectively connecting, routing, and assembling internal / external systems and components including but not limited to gearboxes, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, electrical, electronic, programmable logic controls and chemical. Analyze equipment or system to determine malfunction. Decide on proper repair action. Completes repairs by removing, repairing, and replacing all necessary components of the equipment or system. Discuss findings with area operators, leadership, engineers, and other technicians as needed to find immediate and long-term solutions. Effectively maintain all records of repairs, calibrations, tests, preventative maintenance, spare parts, and procedures. Effectively maintain proficiency in the following skills: Millwright, hydraulics, pneumatics, pipe fitting, machining, welding, electrical, electronics, and programmable logic systems. Demonstrates effective housekeeping in the area of work and shop. Observes all safety rules and regulations. Acquire and maintain the necessary State / Federal licenses / certificates as needed for certain job tasks. Participates in and completes training as prescribed by corporate requirements and the immediate leadership. Trains other technicians, cell leaders, technical operators, and new employees as prescribed by the immediate leadership. Assists in the analysis and frequently works independently in repair and preventative maintenance. Works independently on analysis and repair and assists other levels. Responsible for understanding the hazards in the workplace, including hazardous waste handling and awareness. Required to remain up to date on applicable trainings.

Requirements

Minimum 2 – 4 years as an HVAC Technician II in the facilities department or 4-6 years of experience in a related field.
Post-secondary certification in an Industrial field or Equivalent work experience.
In lieu of degree, provide proof of course completion from an accredited college or certifications related to HVAC field.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, operating procedures, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.
Ability to write routine reports, communicate effectively with internal and external customers, and interpret engineering drawings with some assistance.
Proficiency in basic math in both Metric and English units, and the ability to compute ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs and charts.
Familiarity in software programs such as Word, Excel, and SAP.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and systems, prioritize multiple maintenance tasks, and maximize system performance.
Source and order HVAC parts, and fabricate components as needed for non-standard or urgent repairs.
Install, modify, assemble, and maintain equipment and associated supply systems using skills in millwright, electrical, and electronics.
Connect, route, and assemble internal/external systems and components including gearboxes, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, electrical, electronic, programmable logic controls, and chemical.
