About The Position

Under the direction of the Facilities Shift Supervisor, the incumbent adjusts, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains all HVAC equipment and systems. This role requires adherence to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures, performing preventive maintenance, conducting inspections, and ensuring optimal air quality, airflow, and temperature control in various facilities. The position involves recording maintenance data, maintaining technical logs, and understanding the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino's operational needs to minimize business interruptions. A key aspect is promoting positive public and employee relations while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The job requires excellent hand-eye coordination, close vision, and a current EPA Universal technician certification, along with basic mechanical aptitude. The ability to interpret schematics, plans, and diagrams is essential, as is flexibility in work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Must possess excellent hand/eye coordination as well as close vision.
  • Must maintain current EPA Universal technician certification as required by 40 CFR part 82 subpart F and possess a basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to read, understand and interpret schematics, plans, and diagrams and drawings.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • High school diploma or technical certificate
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience with commercial/industrial HVAC equipment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

  • Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
  • Performs all preventive maintenance on systems and maintains applicable log books.
  • Conducts walk-through inspections of all HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Maintains quality of air, air flow and temperature at on and off-site facilities; adjusts valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through system.
  • Records gauge readings, repairs completed and time lost due to inoperative equipment.
  • Maintains technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of Seminole Coconut Creek Casino’s policies, procedures and schedules to ensure minimal interruption to business operations and to prioritize projects appropriately.
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Performs all other related and compatible/non-compatible duties as assigned.
