About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning projects requiring advanced training and demonstrated skill. The employee inspects and completes work in assigned buildings or properties and submits reports to the Supervisor. Work may be indoors, outdoors, or a combination of both. The position performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties, maintains cleaning supplies and assigned equipment, and follows applicable safety, security, and OSHA requirements. It also includes completing scheduled work orders, responding to emergency cleaning needs, and coordinating with maintenance staff. The required schedule is 12 p.m.–8 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The employee must be able to meet the physical demands described in the posting, including lifting up to 50 pounds, working in varied environmental conditions, and climbing ladders to a maximum height of 3 feet. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
Previous custodial experience preferred.
Available to work 12 p.m.–8 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds following appropriate safety procedures.
Ability to stand upright for long periods; crawl in small and tight spaces; walk and climb stairs; handle, finger, grasp, and feel objects and equipment; reach with hands and arms; and repeat motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
Ability to work in different environmental conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
Ability to navigate the property or building quickly and easily as required by the job.
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above ground level, up to a maximum of 3 feet.
Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Perform assigned cleaning and maintenance duties, including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, disposing of trash, replacing light bulbs, and cleaning windows.
Inform the Supervisor of needed supplies and maintain appropriate levels of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas.
Maintain cleaning solutions in accordance with OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
Remove trash from the premises and assist with emergency cleaning.
Use new equipment properly and follow safety procedures before using it.
Maintain a friendly and professional attitude.
Inspect assigned areas daily and report cleaning or maintenance discrepancies to the Supervisor.
Adhere to security procedures and follow safety precautions while working.
Maintain a working relationship with maintenance staff.
Furnish and burnish floors as required.
Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
As applicable, clean restrooms by sweeping and mopping floors; refilling hand-towel, toilet-paper, and hand-soap dispensers; cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and counters; emptying and removing trash; and reporting discrepancies or deficiencies to the Supervisor.
Complete all required forms and respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
