About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HPP Maintenance Technician to join our food processing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of our high pressure processing equipment, a non-thermal preservation technology that uses high pressure and water to extend product shelf life while maintaining nutritional integrity without preservatives. This position is ideal for individuals with a solid mechanical or technical background who are eager to grow their expertise in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment. You will work alongside experienced maintenance professionals to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve critical HPP and support equipment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food production or hydraulics preferred)
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with PLCs and control systems
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
  • Knowledge of GMP and food safety practices
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food processing and sanitation practices
  • Familiarity with HPP or similar high-pressure equipment
  • Experience with preventive or predictive maintenance programs
  • Knowledge of FDA/USDA regulations or maintenance reliability practices

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HPP equipment and supporting systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical)
  • Troubleshoot and repair components such as motors, pumps, sensors, and control devices
  • Inspect, maintain, and calibrate high-pressure vessels, valves, and safety systems
  • Complete scheduled maintenance according to equipment and internal plans
  • Respond to equipment issues quickly to minimize downtime
  • Monitor system performance and identify potential problems early
  • Follow all safety procedures when working with high-pressure equipment
  • Partner with production teams to keep operations running smoothly
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve reliability and efficiency
  • Maintain basic maintenance records and parts inventory
