About The Position

Part-time Facilities Helper needed to support weekday needs in the Facilities department at the Missouri City campus. Responsibilities include assisting with service setups, event setups and breakdowns, and light custodial duties. This is an excellent opportunity for high school or college students. The starting pay is $12.00/hour, with the potential to become a full-time position in the future.

Requirements

• Must have a good work ethic and a clean criminal record. Background checks are mandatory
• Clean and appropriate dress while on campus is mandatory
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical skills for light preventative maintenance on rooftop AC unit

Responsibilities

• Providing event set up and tear down support for weekday events and possible weekends for special events
• Light custodial duties; includes keeping the grounds free of any trash and debris on a daily basis, checking/emptying all exterior trash receptacles
• Lift up to 50 pounds-moving tables and chairs regularly
• Cleaning windows not accessible by custodial staff
• Use of a scissor lift on occasion to change light bulbs
• Will need some mechanical skills to do light preventative maintenance on rooftop AC unit such as air filter and belt changes, cleaning/washing down AC coils
