This role involves performing repairs, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of a building’s infrastructure. The Facilities Handyman will also assist Critical Facilities Operating Engineers as a co-pilot in completing building operations, maintenance, and repairs, and assist in writing procedures including EOPs, SOPs, and MOPs. This is a site-based role and the client requires vaccinations for on-site attendance.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Basic understanding of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Ability to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads.
Ability to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc. and on roofs.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
Ability to prepare written documentation.
Ability to repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers doors, controllers.
On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Lifting up to 60 lbs.
Working from heights.
Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot).
Driving for long periods of time.
Climbing a ladder up to 30 feet.
Being able to sit and type for longer periods of time.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of a building’s infrastructure.
Assist Critical Facilities Operating Engineers as a co-pilot in completing building operations, maintenance and repairs.
Assist in writing procedures including EOPs, SOPs, and MOPs.
Service and maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, building alarm contacts, and other building systems.
Maintain and repair single phase electrical breakers, switches, receptacles, junction boxes, conduit, lights, and ballast.
Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, water fountains, sinks drains, water heaters, piping and sump pumps.
Provide all other building maintenance, repair, and restorative procedures as directed.
Prepare, prime and paint building interior and exterior surfaces.
Assist Mission Critical Technicians as a co-pilot in completing building operations, maintenance and repairs.
